CENTER STONE: One cabochon cut natural star sapphire weighing 10.83 carats. Body color blue gray. Asterism is sharp, well centered, and legible across all six rays. No indications of heat treatment. Accompanied by laboratory documentation.

REMARKS: Asterism in sapphire arises from oriented rutile inclusions within the stone, and the quality of a star is judged by how sharp, straight, and centered the rays remain as the stone is moved. The star on this cabochon is well above the ordinary.
