Natural Unheated Burmese Blue Sapphire 4.27 ct and Diamond Ring in Platinum

CENTER STONE: One emerald cut natural blue sapphire weighing 4.27 carats. Geographic origin Burma (Myanmar). No indications of heat treatment. Accompanied by a laboratory report issued by American Gemological Laboratories (AGL), New York.

ACCENT STONES: Round brilliant cut and pear cut white diamonds together with round brilliant cut natural fancy yellow diamonds. Total weight approximately 2.00 carats. White diamonds graded approximately F in color and VS in clarity.

CONDITION: Examined under magnification. All stones present and secure at the time of examination. Mounting sound with no evidence of prior repair.

REMARKS: Unheated Burmese sapphires of this size are encountered infrequently in the trade, and the combination of documented origin with an absence of heat treatment is the principal value driver in this piece. AGL is among the small number of laboratories whose colored stone origin and treatment determinations are relied upon at this level of the market. The emerald cut affords an unobstructed view into the stone. The fancy yellow diamond accents are natural in color and are not treated or coated.
